Working Groups - Volunteers Needed
Wildcats PTO board is comprised of 7 hard working, dedicated individuals. As the district faces budget cuts, being able to give back with capital investment for various projects around school feels ever more important. We are putting wheels into motion by creating working groups to strengthen our impact and help be a long term "giving tree" to the Needham Community. There are many ways in which you can volunteer and be involved. Whether you are looking for long or short term involvement, you've got options!
Current working groups we are looking to develop:
Annual Art Contest - Logo for next years t-shirt - short term commitment
Individuals with Art Contest experience would be great, however not a requirement. Art contest will run the month of April. Tasks would include getting information out to the community about the contest, receiving artwork files over the month, coordinating judging of artwork.
Event Planning (Fall & Spring) - short or long term opportunity
PTO hosts 2 annual fundraising events. Monster Bash in the fall and Funlympics in the spring. Lots of leg work goes into the planning and coordination of both these events. Looking for individuals with event planning or individuals just looking to get involved. Participate in 1 or both events, whatever works with your schedule!
Annual Matching Grant - Annual commitment
With district budget cuts, being able to give back to the Needham community and continue to improve our school has never been more important. Looking for individuals with interest and or experience in grant writing or design. We will form a working group for each annual project. Current project is the remodel of the library.
Board Position - Vacancy - Corporate Fundraiser - Long term commitment (2 yr term)
This individual would coordinate our corporate fundraising for our fall and spring events. (Monster Bash & Funlympics). We have an established list of corporate sponsors and a solid protocol in place. This position would be the point of contact for our on going sponsorships and making new connections.
